PUBG ban


On Wednesday the hugely popular online game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) temporarily blocked in Pakistan after receiving complaints it was addictive and following media reports linking the brutal, multiplayer shoot them up to suicide. the  decision has taken as the game has termed as addictive and effects the health of players. 


According to a notice issued by PTA, PTA has received numerous complaints against PUBG wherein it is stated that the game is addictive, wastage of time and poses a serious negative impact on the physical and mental health. 


PUBG  mobile has also been dragged into several suicides that have taken place in the recent past in the country.on June 24, a 16 year old boy had committed suicide in Hanjarwal area, when he missed his mission on PUBG. 


PTA apparently sought feedback about PUBG  by July 10, after it will decide if the ban stays in place. The ban is effective immediately on all version of pubg which include pubg mobile from chinese developer Tencent Games. 


Besides this the PC and console version from the South Korean company PUBG crop is also added.  It has garnered 34.2 million downloads worldwide so far.
